Ginger Sue's...Liberty, Missouri

While in Kansas City picking up Christie for our trip to Washington DC, Christie took me over to Liberty, Missouri, a quaint little town about 14 miles from where she lives in North Kansas City, to have breakfast at a darling little breakfast and lunch room called Ginger Sue's. Ginger Sue's is located one block west of the town square and Court House on State Highway 152 on the north side of the street.

Christie had the West Coast Omelet while I had my favorite, biscuits with sausage gravy plus sausage links and coffee.

The service was wonderful, my food hot and most delicious. We had a very attentive server who always had a smile on her face.

Price: $ for single $$ for 2

Restrooms: Clean

Setting: Booth or Table and Chairs

Staff:  Friendly and Attentive

Parking: On street, may have to walk

Would I come back?  YES!

After breakfast, Christie and I drove up to the square to take a look around. I would love to go back and spend some time exploring the antique shops that dot the square and then wander through some of the museums there especially the archives at William Jewel Universtiy that was established in 1849.

Jessie James the outlaw made a withdrawal from the bank in Liberty, now a Jessie James museum.  Liberty was settled in 1820 and became a jumping off place for westward expansion.

There is a lot of history wrapped up in this small town. One could spend some time uncovering it and be all the richer for it.

If you are going to be in the area drop by Ginger Sue's, have a meal then go experience the friendliness of small town America.

    1. It is Earlene! You and Victor would love the area. There is a state park close by with electricity.
